Yasmin Iriel Frione is a performer, choreographer, acrobat and teacher. She graduated from the Contemporary Dance School Arte XXI in Buenos Aires and from the Ballet Junior de Genève, where she performed repertoires by choreographers such as Hofesh Shechter, Maguy Marin, Rachid Ouramdane, Thomas Hauert, Olivier Dubois, among others, participating in performances and tours.

Professionally, she worked as a permanent dancer with the UNSAM Dance Group and the Araiz Company, directed by Oscar Araiz, where she performed leading solos and duets within the company's repertoire. She also worked professionally with the Swiss company Alias, directed by choreographer Guilherme Botelho, performing in works such as Jetuilnousvousils and Sideways Rain in shows and tours. She also was a performer at Danse Élargie in Paris and received the award at the International Focus on Contemporary Dance with South Korean choreographer Bora Kim's company.

She is the choreographer and creator of the company SYSTEM, through which she has received various public supports and created works such as the trilogy Sistemas de Fuga, Intro, and Retro Visión, which have been presented at festivals, theaters, and other venues across South America and Europe. Currently, the company is based in Barcelona with its new production Ecce Femme, scheduled to tour in 2026.

As a teacher and director, she founded the Movement Research School Espacio Acuña in Buenos Aires and developed her pedagogical approach Movimiento 360°, which brings together tools from dance, acrobatics, and physical theater. In the last couple of years, she has been invited to share her workshop in festivals, training centers and companies in Europe and Latin America such as B12 Research or Die, Sic Dance Festival, Tanzfaktur, Bluebox Gen2, Kataklò Athletic Dance Theatre, NunArt, Marameo, Cia Toula Limnaios, Viceversa on multiple occasions.

Yasmin currently works as a freelance performer with companies such as Wonderground Company in Barcelona and with choreographers including Tom Weksler, Raphael Miro Holzer, among others. She is also an independent choreographer and researcher in movement, acrobatics, and interdisciplinary stage practices.

The program consists of carrying out a personalized learning process. Over these weeks, we will learn the fundamentals of 360° movement step by step with the help of more than 16 tutorial videos, including extensive physical conditioning, floorwork, acrobatics, research tasks, choreographic sequences, and improvisation.

RETRO-VISION is a stage production that immerses the audience in the complexity of visionary knowledge processes amidst a fast-paced and demanding world. The narrative unfolds across three timelines, exploring the intertwined realities of various characters—or multiple voices of the same character inhabiting different moments in history simultaneously. At the core of the story, the audience engages with the challenges of understanding the complexity of human processes, confronting the pressures of the art market, which often favors immediate results and predictable formulas, thereby influencing creative processes. The critique of the art market manifests through the ethical dilemmas faced by one of the voices, who struggles against the efficiency that often prevails in the creative sphere. The work stands as a reflective critique that questions the priorities and values driving the artistic-cultural landscape of recent years, drawing parallels with Argentina's socio-political perspective. It manifests as an attempt to reclaim the processes of rediscovering our forgotten roots and essential foundations, revisiting visionary moments, the processes of INSIGHT.

Retro-Vision

SYSTEM, founded in 2020 by Yasmin Iriel Frione, is a company that investigates new forms of movement, performance, and the relationship between body and stage. Initially based in Buenos Aires, the company has presented its works in festivals and theaters across the city, various provinces in Argentina, and neighboring countries. It has been a resident company in different cultural associations, consolidating a strong artistic trajectory supported by state grants (Prodanza, Fondo Nacional de las Artes, INT) and performing in venues such as CCK, Tecnópolis, and other amphitheaters. Among its most notable works is the trilogy Sistemas de Fuga, which has toured multiple times, as well as the solos Intro Visión and Retro Visión. Currently, SYSTEM is based in Europe, with its new production Ecce Femme scheduled for a 2026 tour. It develops a scenic research practice that fuses contemporary dance, acrobatics, partner work, physical theater, and other performative elements. The conceptual thread connecting all its works is the deterritorialization of the body: escaping pre-established social and cultural patterns to discover new ways of reterritorialization. The pieces play with the delicate line between what happens on and off stage, crafting engaging experiences and enhancing the connection between performers and audience.
